Immanuel’s Youth Group Bible Study Completes SOTM Series and Begins Acts

Immanuel Community Church is holding its youth online Bible studies in the afternoons Monday through Friday. The college students who are joining have finished a series on the Sermon on the Mount (SOTM) which covered Matthew 5-7 and have begun a new series on the book of Acts.

The SOTM is a fundamental part of the Bible which contains the biblical teachings of how believers ought to live as disciples of Jesus, therefore, it is known to be the constitutional law of heaven or the Christian ‘Magna Carta’ by which Christians should live their lives. Those who joined the series received great strength after knowing more about their life in Christ and how to live in this life following the footsteps of Jesus.

The church has now started a series on the book of Acts, covering the life of the believers in the early church and seeing the work of the Holy Spirit through the early Christians. This is important because Acts reveals the way that those who have a new life in Christ should live. Matching their lifestyle as recorded in the Bible helps believers have a healthy way of life, especially now, as we head towards Pentecost (the day that Christians commemorate the descension of the Holy Spirit here on earth) Acts helps believers gain the fire of the Holy Spirit.
